Please reserve about 15-20 seconds and do a moment of silence for the family of Maggie Brunson. She was a 12-year old angel that God called home on Tuesday. Micah got the call yesterday that his classmate had passed away moments before his scheduled Zoom class meeting.
I noticed his teacher was wearing a hat which is so unlike her so I asked if I could ask a question. I sent her a private message and she confirmed the tragic news. I had already been crying since earlier as I was praising God and confessing my wrongdoings to him in prayer so when I heard this the tears would not stop flowing. As I listened to Micah’s teacher give an account of what led up to her tragic and unexpected death we all cried together. Soon after the school guidance counselor and another one of his former teachers (who also taught Micah) chimed in to give words of comfort.
As a school everyone is asked to make hero hats and shields describing the inspiration Maggie was. My heart goes out to the Brunson family and the children, friends, doctors, and other persons who are mourning the lost of this precious soul. Get your rest Maggie, we will see you again!
