Sunday evening we went to my in-laws for a family cookout. For a night we created memories with no red tape or blue lines saying one way only, no social distancing, and the masks came off. We were free!

  1. Well said Whitnee. Oh how I long for those cookouts. But I have been longing for those cookouts way before this pandemic hit. It’s sad how cousins are longing for each others physical company. This virtual new reality of facetime, duo, or zoom will suffice for the time being because we dont have a choice, however is nothing compared to the jump roping, hide and seek, playing basketball, kickball, you name it spades, like you said Whitnee just the physical socialization, being able to touch and laugh, I even miss the drunk uncle acting a fool LOL. We just have to hold on and stand still to God’s word and look those times because they will come. Like you said thank God for memories. Sometimes memories are what keeps you going or just keep you stil at least for me.I Thank God for the memory of my Aunt Lisa. Superbowl Game making up a song that is forever in my head as a young child and still remember it to this day. Thank God for the memory of My Momma and Aunt Lisa going to the market coming back home and me being in a cast not being able to do anything but they let me shulk corn and snap the peas and open it and put it in the bowl. Thank God for the memory of a Loving Christian Grandmother that danced on Christmas cause Marc and Deanna had just got me a boom box and that made everyone come together and smile, Thank God for the memory of my loving Dad that would come and get me every birthday and take me somewhere as a child whether if it was fishing, waffle house, ryans, carowinds,or just brought me a cake when he couldn’t take me anywhere, I thank God for the memory of Uncle Peter who introduced me to hot sauce and wrestling….Oh Jesus I thank God for the Memory of MY loving loving loving Brother Marc who believed in God and I remember him saying Snooky, It would be a privilege for me to die and go meet Jesus and kiss his feet because he going bring us all together again. OH halleujah somebody!!!!! Oh Can we Glorify GOD for the Memories. YES The Good and the Bad!!! I have a praise on my heart and Soul. Yall may be waiting for this pandemic to be over so yall can have that family reunion, BUT the REUNION in HEAVEN my GOD. OH GOD IM PRAISING HIM. Because I have soooo MANY TO reunite with. MY MOTHER, MY GRANDMA, MY GRANDPA, MY AUNTIES, MY UNCLE, that’s just a few to name. I CANT STOP PRAISING HIM YALL.OH JESUS! HALLEUJAH!
