Found out this week my mom would be having her surgery on this upcoming Friday. My anxiety tried to kick in and take over. The struggle was real ya’ll!
I mean I am still trying to process everything the doctors told us last week (15 hour surgery, skin transfer, trachea, feeding tube, 2-3 month recovery, 1-2 week minimal hospital stay). Everything is happening so fast but then out of the blue I received this on time text.
Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:1-2

Whitnee, Thank you for your devotional. You have got to be an angel! How sweet to give your mom the gift of your time. I know she feels like a queen! Please know your mom is now and will be in my prayers tomorrow. And so will you, Rico and your sweet boys. ❤️
To God be the glory! Isn’t it amazing how special God makes us when we are obedient and silent ourselves to listen to His voice. My mom is so special to me and I thank God for her and her big heart everyday. We love you and thank God for you and your precious family Ms. Rita!
Oh. God bless you too Pig Nose! As I sit back and think and dwell on situations, God uses our bad (anxiety, timidness, worry, ect.) and turn it around for our good (favorite hobby, what we love to do, something positive, ect.). God was all over you yesterday and me too actually. When I saw your Mom, I still saw Ms. Davis relaxed, no matter what is going on with her, I see that smile even with the mask on, that same warm look in her eyes. I strive to have that spirit of calmness and peace like she does in every situation good and bad …….like that picture on Facebook, a man chilling in a boat surrounded by sharks in the water, but he is calm because GOD IS ON CONTROL. And I know that despite what it may look like, the tracheostomy, the new onset gastrostomy, Ms. Davis is constantly on Chill Mode like a thermostat that nobody touches because in her mind I know she thinking yall doctors, may say one thing and have to speculate but You know My Doctor is the DOCTOR that has healed MANY. He has healed a blind man to see, a crippled man, demon possessed, he healed a woman with her belief that her body will be healed just by a touch of his cloak! And she was healed! He brought a little girl back to life! Jesus heals a great multitudes of their diseases, Jesus healed a man at the pool of Bethesda,Jesus healed a nobleman’s son, and the healings go on! God is the same God he was yesterday as he is today. Halleujah! So I know Ms. Davis will be healed! And she knows it too! Jesus is still in the healing business if you have faith and believe. I know that is why Ms. Davis has not been dismayed. The News may have been alarming at first, but Ms. Davis knows we serve a God that won’t, but CAN NOT LIE. Again not that he won’t but CAN NOT LIE….YES GOD. Halleujah! Thank you Jesus for healing. You are Jehovah Rapha! Halleujah!
So when are you creating a page? You are full of inspiration and I’m ready to start logging on to check your daily devotions.
Yes she was on chill mode. Reading her devotional and doing her crossroad puzzle. Just as content as she could be.
You can tell you are a health professional with the technical terms lol.
I pray we all learn how to be content and calm knowing God is in control no matter what comes our way. No matter what doctors say God remains in control and the Head of our lives.
Willa Davis is a woman of faith. She was introduced to the Lord a long time ago by Leroy and Annie Bell. They kept the family in church. Raised us to be givers and not takers while keeping hold of God. I believe that God is still able to do all but and He is fighting for our Dolly today 🙏🏾♥️
Amen and amen. I thank God for being apart of such strong, faithful believers in Christ. I love you Jacqueline.
