A Little Bit About Myself!
My name is Whitnee’! I was born and raised in South Carolina. I was born into a blended family, I am one of 6, and together my mom and dad had 3 children (2 girls and 1 boy).
I graduated from Columbia High School, class of 2005. Go Capitals! I also attended Midlands Tech, Claflin University, and Columbia College. I took up Accounting as a Major and a Minor in History. I recently completed a certification program at Tech for Project Management and currently conducting research to attend an institution to obtain a Degree in Chaplaincy.
I am married and have been married to my wonderful husband of 12 years. Together we have 6 children (5 boys and 1 girl). Fun fact: I was not only born into a blended family but I married into one as well (my husband and I have 3 together and 3 from his previous relationship-but I am that mother that STEPPED up and that loves them unconditionally regardless if I am not their biological mother or not).
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE reading the Bible (DID I MENTION I LOVE READING THE BIBLE), studying and feasting on spiritual enriching literature, shopping, eating, meeting new people, building relationships, encouraging others, smiling, laughing, talking walks in the park, taking late night drives, watching movies, listening to music, going to church, loving on my family, and living life to the fullest! Outside of family, I am an active member of a local church here in South Carolina, a full time employee of an SC State Government Job, a Board Member of a local non-profit, member of a local Women’s Support group, and a host of other things.
We are a loving family that serve the living God. We raise our children in the upbringing of Christian beliefs. We love sports, nature, traveling, shopping, going to the movies, trying new restaurants, video games, and so much more!
In a nutshell like The Williams Brothers said “I’m just a nobody, trying to everybody, about the One who can save anybody.”
MY PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT
- My mission is to live a Christ-centered life.
- To be a beacon of light in a world of great darkness.
- To help restore hope, provide encouragement, lift up the broken-spirited, and bring joy to the broken-hearted by spreading the Good News.
- To be kind, gentle, patient and understanding with everyone I come into contact with.
- To help others and to always greet people with a smile.
- To always tell each person they are a Beloved Child of God and let them know God created each one of us unique in His image.
- To be the best me I can be and always put God first, others second (my husband, children, family, friends, loved ones, and my neighbors), and myself last!
It All Started on Prescott Road!
I met my darling husband back in May 2005. A friend and I were on our way to the mall to pick out dresses for our senior prom when we road down the infamous “Prescott Road.” As I drove down Prescott, my husband and I locked eyes. I never believed in love at first sight until I met my husband. I had just gotten out of a bad relationship. He “hollered” at me and I kept driving but something in me kept saying “girl turn around”. So I did! When I turned around I could not stop blushing. One of his friends kept thinking he knew me but my attention was all on my love. We exchanged numbers, funny thing is I didn’t have a cell phone at the time so I gave him my homegirls number. We talked on the phone for almost 6 hours that day. We had some rough times over the years but that all in our history. We now share 6 beautiful children, a lifetime of memories and love.
This one is for you Rico.
I love you!
