I woke up one morning and told Rico placed it on my heart and said, \u201cIt\u2019s time to move.\u201d Well after this I have more than enough confirmation to start packing my bags and hit the road jack! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMoreover you shall select from all the people able man, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 
\u201cAnd let them judge the people at all times. Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for they will bear the burden with you. 
\u201cIf you do this thing, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all this people will also go to their place in peace.\u201d 
So Moses heeded the voice of his father-in-law and did all that he had said. 
And Moses chose able men out of all Isreal, and made them heads over the people: rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 
So they judged the people at all times; the hard cases they brought to Moses, but they judged every small case themselves.
Then Moses let his father-in-law depart, and he went his way to his own land.
Exodus 18:21-27 NKJV <\/pre>\n\n\n\n
God has many ways to forms of communication with His people. He uses the Holy Spirit, teachings through His word, signs, dreams, and how He has been communicating most recently with me: spoken word through His people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Bible we see His spoken word can come through prophets, believers, non-believers, or even through a donkey. I mean God will use any means necessary to get our attention but sometimes out of stubbornness, laziness, misunderstanding, disobedience, or whatever the case- we don\u2019t listen when He is talking. So something will happen to where He gets our attention. Something we least expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was studying my Bible last week and looking in my study bible there was a section that talked about God\u2019s spoken word. It was saying that sometimes we here something several times through several people. Sometimes that is God trying to get your attention through people and He repeats Himself because you are not listening. God drops hints but we don\u2019t listen or simply don\u2019t understand. Sometimes we just have to stop and ask God, \u201care you speaking to me?\u201d Or \u201cGod what are you trying to say to me.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not everything is crystal clear. Not every time we will \u201chit the nail on the head\u201d but we must seek Him and ask Him to help us understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lately I have had many Jethro\u2019s (Moses father-in-law) in my life. I\u2019ve heard \u201cyou need to write a book, take your devotional to the next level, you need to get into the ministry, you need to get rid of those rims and those expensive tires, you need to do this or do that.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve been listening but guess I haven\u2019t moved fast enough: I\u2019ve started piecing my journal together for a book entry; I\u2019ve taken my inspirational texts to the next level by creating this website; I just haven\u2019t felt God was leading me into ministry; and I\u2019ve been waiting to find smaller more cost effective wheels but…….<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need to just stop and thank you all who have been a wise counsel to me. A lot of people talk but a lot of people don\u2019t talk with the Word of God directing them. When you get to live like I have you start to notice when a person is talking out of the side of their neck and when they genuinely have sought God and allowing God to use them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this situation I don\u2019t know I wasn\u2019t listening, if I\u2019ve been too busy or preoccupied, or just wasn\u2019t fully understanding what God was trying to say. I mean to be honest, I understood, I just kept procrastinating. You know that saying \u201ca hard head makes a soft behind.\u201d Well a new saying for 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been talking to a few select friends and God has been using them to tell me it\u2019s time to move. So I\u2019ve been doing what I needed to do to see that I get qualified for a mortgage. I\u2019ve been hustling to get this information they need and been real intentional to have all my ducks in a row because when it\u2019s time I don\u2019t want nothing stopping me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So going back to scripture, God used Moses father in law to talk with him. He had so much on his plate and needed some help so God used Jethro. By Moses accepting Jethro\u2019s advice; it brought more order to Isreal- which blessed the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this pandemic most of are bored. We are going out and there isn\u2019t but so much tv to watch but people are too busy complaining verses taking advantage of this time. This is the perfect time to get closer to God but reading His word. This is the perfect time to really study and dig into the Bible- but many don\u2019t do it. They still use an app to one daily scripture and think they have their \u201cfix\u201d for the day and are satisfied until some jacked up stuff happens. Then they want to call the pastor or look back at their notes from Sundays message to find some encouragement. The best encouragement is the Bible so I challenge each of us to pick it up as often as we can and meditate on His word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have to ask God to speak to us not just on Sundays, not just on Wednesday night bible study, not just during Thursday night couples counseling, or even on Saturday mornings for Sunday school but AT ALL TIMES. God will use your average joe blow but because he or she isn\u2019t ordained you block out what God is trying to say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So at this time I have to open and tell you something that happened to me. I pray you will remain open hearted and not judge me nor pass judgment on my husband. By sharing this I pray it will bless someone else. So here we go:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yesterday morning Rico came in the house and it sounded as if he were running. Now Rico knows there\u2019s <\/strong>no running in the house so I wasn\u2019t sure what was going on. It was about 925, he frantically said, \u201cCall the police man someone done stole our rims and tires.\u201d My initial response was \u201cWHAT.\u201d <\/em>That\u2019s not what came out of my mouth but that\u2019s what I was thinking. As I put on clothes to go check it out I was replaying the last couple of hours in my head. You see around 3 or 315ish I had to wake up to help my mom. I cleaned her inner cannula made sure she was okay and then came back in the bed and tossed and turned- my stomach had been in knots all day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I went and told my mom what happened and told her I thought I heard something outside of her window. I was in so much pain I didn\u2019t think anything of it. Normally I wake Rico up with the quickness and have him go investigate but I was in so much pain I just wanted to lay down. My spirit was relieved because what if I told Rico to go to the door and check it out. My husband could have been dead! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I shared that with you because we are the Body of Christ and I need the Body of Christ to help me pray. My prayer request is that our young and old people will understand the power of our God. You see I\u2019m not worrying about those rims that have set me and my family as a target from the start because I pay my insurance in full on time every month so I\u2019m not worrying about a thing. But I need those persons who don\u2019t have the relationship with God to know you shall reap what you sow and that vengeance is mine says the Lord. People have to realize when you mess with one of God\u2019s children and we remain obedient to Him- He handles the circumstances and gives the consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I pray for the sucker behind cowards that stole my rims and tires from out of my driveway. I pity the dern fool that felt he or she had to come in my back yard where the truck was positioned between the drive way and my back door to take something that had belonged to my family. This was the first time we had been able to afford something we wanted- it wasn\u2019t rented- it wasn\u2019t brought with drug money- it was brought with blood, sweat, tears, and almost my husbands life from his car accident last year- but I know God is going to give it back ten fold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So let me tell you how God will use the Body of Christ. Rico was about to go off of the deep end because this is the third time someone has stolen from us since we lived here. (3 strikes you out). So someone prayed for my husband because his anger had gotten the best of him. His pride was hurt and I wanted him to see how God might have removed the expensive tires and all that from us so that truck would have a longer life- who knows but I know it wasn\u2019t a coincidence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mine you I said this was around 925. Let me tell you what all was on my plate. At 10 I had a financial counseling meeting with a potential mortgage opportunity. It was a virtual meeting so I was speaking to the police filling out a report with Rico\u2019s assistance while on the phone securing help to get out of dodge. God heard my cry; He heard Rico\u2019s plea. God showed up and showed out. Not only did I pass my session BUT I was able to move into my 12 o\u2019clock meeting with a smile on my face and get my mom set up for her 2 o\u2019clock meeting with the speech therapist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mrs Carolyn, the speech therapist is a God fearing woman, so as she walked in we caught up and I told her what happened. God used her to bless me. Oh she gave me some wisdom that could only come from God and in her speaking to me, God showed me my shortcomings. Another honest moment: my tithing. My tithing isn\u2019t consistent and by her speaking what she said in that moment I knew it\u2019s time to get out this checkbook from this new checking account I opened today for this house and send my tithes in to Ms Julia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To put the icing on the cake, guess who Mrs Carolyn is. She is the pastor\u2019s wife of New Ebenezer Baptist Church. That is the daycare my oldest son went to when he was young under three direction of the late Ms Smith. Jasmine and her mom Mrs Harris worked there for years and they were so good to us so I knew of the church very well. What a small world! What a way God brought this into perspective 360. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s a shame I didn\u2019t get a chance to get rid of the rims before they stole them. I mean people are so jealous it\u2019s ridiculous. Get a job and work like I do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day we got it! Rico was so proud- he had wants a truck for a while. It wasn\u2019t new but it was BRAND NEW TO US<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This is how the cowards left our truck. It\u2019s all good YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW- excuse the junk in the backyard.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
I thank God for the Body of Christ: we cry together, we mourn together, we celebrate together, we help each other\u2019s grow, we teach, we embrace, we love. I encourage each of us to include myself to surround yourselves around people not just God\u2019s people but people. We might be in isolation but there are many platforms like the internet that can bring us together to encourage or be encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was holding on to something God said let go. I hear you loud and clear while I scratch my head and seek God for the next step. I must have really pissed the devil off because he is attacking me day in and day out BUT I WILL STILL PRAISE THR LORD! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So next time God is trying to tell me something I don\u2019t have to allow the coward from down the street or in my opinion across the street from me to use him or his crew with the tow truck sitting in the front of his hard to come steal from me. I\u2019ll do what God says do the first time- even if I don\u2019t see the way. He is the way, the truth, and the light!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So now I\u2019ve been hearing it\u2019s time to move. It\u2019s past time to move- if I have to load up the bed and couch on my back WE ARE GETTING OUT OF THIS NEIGHBORHOOD. I thank God for protecting the inside of my home and keeping my kids, my mom, and my husband safe from physical harm because they could have kicked down my door, robbed and shot us but they took what could be replaced and went on with their cowardish way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If God is speaking to you, pay attention. Save yourself the headache or like me the police report or insurance claim and just do what He says. But first, make sure it is the Lord talking and not a trick of the devil. It\u2019s important to know the difference: study the word. If God is speaking through someone you might want to confirm it came from God. Go to Him and pray. Seek His face and listen- He will confirm it for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord as I pick up the pieces, pack up my house, and cover my house and family with pray Lord I receive your blessing in Jesus name. I claim what you have for this family is for us and no man or woman or coward can take it from me. You got rid of my headache and set me up for better and I know it. Lord I draw near to You and I praise Your Holy name. I lay it all at your feet Jesus. Speak to me and show Yourself Lord as You have in the past- your Beloved Child is listening! Forgive me of any sin or if I were too busy, preoccupied, confused, or slack to hear Your voice. Lord have Your way in my life and in and through my family- I trust you Lord with all that I am and all that I have. Lord I\u2019m sorry for not giving my 10 percent as I should but as I confess my sins in front of all reading these words- I won\u2019t make that mistake again. And if I slip Lord help me to stay on track as I bless Your name for allowing us to be secured by the 90 percent you allow us to keep. Lord allow me to trust you with everything if I seems as though I am hesitant. I trust you and I will obey. Forgive me Lord, please. And Lord lastly, as you speak to me and through me I pray I will always say what You would have me to say and in your timing. I\u2019ve understood loud and clear what it means to have patience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
