Ever watch the movie \u201cSelena?\u201d I love that movie! Jennifer Lopez did such an amazing job in her role and she really made me fall in love with Selena\u2019s music. One of her songs in particular, always stood out to me. It\u2019s entitled \u201cDreaming of You.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I stay up and think of you

It\u2019s such a beautiful song and I can really relate to the lyrics of this song. While Selena was probably writing about her significant other I like to think of how while my household is sleeping at night I have the quiet time to reflect on my day and spend some time in the Word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have my best time waking up 2 something or a little after reading the Word of God, meditating, praying, praising God, and writing words of reflection like I am now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I used to hear the saying if we are quiet enough we can hear the Lord speaking to us. Not often enough do we quiet ourselves to hear God speaking. I\u2019ve learned God just doesn\u2019t talk to you when the world is sleeping like the lyrics say in this song, but in our most quiet times that\u2019s when we can hear His voice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is always speaking but do we have an ear and the heart to listen? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m going to make today\u2019s message short and sweet and I\u2019m just going to ask a simple question: Do you listen for the Lord to speak to you or are you too busy listening to your problems and the distractions of this world to hear His voice?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take time out of your day to quiet yourself. You will be amazed at how much clarity we receive by just closing our mouth and opening our ears. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
