Great message for church leaders, community leaders, parents, and people of all ages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not to take too much of your time or duplicate what has already been said, I would like to list a few verses that were shared with the congregation on yesterday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Leviticus 25:1-12<\/li><li>John 10:14-16<\/li><li>Isaiah 40:11<\/li><li>Ezekiel 34:11-16<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pastor Steven stated that we should enter into a season of listening. God is calling us to listen. <em>You shall then sound a ram\u2019s horn abroad on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement you shall sound a horn all through your land. Leviticus 25:9<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few things that stood out to me that God placed on my heart to share with you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>God is saying to us enter into an intentional state of listening.<\/li><li>Stay focused.<\/li><li>Listen to what God is saying.<\/li><li>God wants us to do something new.<\/li><li>God wants us to do something fresh.<\/li><li>God wants to illuminate our hearing. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As I studied over my notes and I took the time to read the scriptures mentioned in his message, Ezekiel 34:15-16 stood out to me. The Lord is the Good and Great Shephard. Everything the Lord does, He does for our good. Every decision He makes is beneficial to His people. Even down to what we eat; the Lord gives us nourishment so we can be in good health. My study Bible says, <em>The Lord makes us lie down when we would rather keep moving. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I tell you I\u2019ve learn how disobedient I could be and how in a hurry I can be at times. God has used financial struggles, health scares, a period of homelessness, anxiety, depression, covid, other sickness, marital strife, confusion, disobedient children, and even death to get my attention AND to slow me down. I admit I was hard headed I didn\u2019t understand what God was trying to say to me or get across to me until I was at a point where I couldn\u2019t run or hide or do anything. Sometimes pain would be so bad all I could do why cry and rest\u2026and that\u2019s when I heard God speaking so clearly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes I wondered why did it take all of that and I couldn\u2019t rap my head around what could be so important that I just couldn\u2019t quiet myself to listen. I tell you one thing, I have learned my lesson and I won\u2019t take God\u2019s warning signs for granted ever again. God is faithful even in His punishment for our disobedience. God is merciful even in His wrath. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have things happened in your life recently or over time and you wondered if God was trying to get your attention? In my opinion, covid slowed us down as a nation. We have had to take a long pause to mourn, heal, cope, and trying to piece our lives back together one day at a time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As God is speaking I pray we will slow down and listen.
