The song is entitled \u201cWhen I Rose this morning.\u201d If you\u2019ve never heard it, I urge you to jump start your morning and listen to it. I was so humbled when I walked through the door and noticed no one had eaten yet. Wesley stated they wouldn\u2019t start without us and it warmed my heart because so often I don\u2019t get to sit and fellowship over food with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I was very impressed by the young people whom did what they were asked to do without complaining. Anytime I don\u2019t hear mumbling and grumbling from William and Emmanuel when I ask them to help me in the kitchen at church, I am so grateful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Side note: I made homemade biscuits for the first time and although I thought they looked pretty, I was terribly afraid they would be nasty. To my surprise, Madison said they were very good and ate 3! I was so thankful for her, Faith, and Wesley\u2019s encouragement and I truly appreciated how we all came together to have a grand meal. (My favorite were the eggs!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breakfast and clean up was over so it was time to head to Alcott Drive. When we first arrived it was quite chilly but after prayer, we came up with a plan and it was time to execute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting at buildings 3 and 4, we moved from one building to the next. Dean noticed that we didn\u2019t pray aloud at the first building so I asked Madison if she wouldn\u2019t mind reciting Psalm 91. Walking from building to building it was a true blessing to hear Faith, Joshua (6), and Madison (7) recite Psalm 91. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/inspirationallaroundme.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/img_9880.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We finished up with the first apartment complex and made it to the second one. Recognizing some familiar faces Dean and Wesley greeted several people. Madison saw a lady walking and decided to hand the door hanger to her and Joshua greeted her with a hug. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few buildings later we heard loud chatter coming from one of the buildings. To my surprise we ran into two former RA\u2019s. They spoke of Mr. Bill Montague and Dr. Richard Moore. They spoke about their days of being on the youth basketball team and then going into adulthood, competing at the adult level. I\u2019ve had the privilege of watching Justin Coach the men\u2019s league when Rico was on the team and it was so neat watching these men in action! Church league or not those men were shifty! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark 16:15 reads, And he said to them, \u201cGo into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. In that moment the gentleman ministered to us and validated that what we were doing meant something and he was appreciative. He stated he would come by to visit us, and I pray he does! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking away from the building I told Wesley how Rico always wanted to have a league back at ECBC where he could coach and he had dreams that one day ECBC would have its own community center with a gymnasium inside of it. Wesley quickly stated with Trevon Fordham\u2019s vision of the 4 Block Promise Initiative happening in our region, it could possibly happen. What a wonderful way to get the community involved through sports, wellness, and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Columbia introduces 4-Block Promise initiative\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PsBHLQCL3C4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcad I could see Faith educating so many community members through her platform, Diabetes Talk. I could see Wesley hosting community events alongside RCSD finest officers. I could see Kelly holding seminars for Koinonia scholars and families. Oh how I could see Ms Samuel, Ms Finch and others leading sewing classes and inviting students to help facilitate as they learn and grow. I could also see Tatayana and Jennifer having crafting activities, Bible study and more. The endless possibilities! \ud83d\udcad <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we made it back to the car I told William my mom would be so proud of him. A former Missionary President, my mom is in Heaven smiling ear to ear. She is glorifying God for how He is using Faith to raise disciples, prayer warriors, missionaries, and children who are actively the hands and feet of Jesus wherever they go. I\u2019m already excited and looking forward to the next one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shout out to Dean, Wesley, Faith, Emmanuel, William, Elijah, Madison &amp; Joshua for not thinking it was robbery to get out of your cozy bed to come and devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word (Acts 6:4.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Thank you Eau Claire Baptist Church for the opportunity to serve God\u2019s children and His community.
