Living Before God Our Father<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

13 <\/sup>Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your<\/em> hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 <\/sup>as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as<\/em> in your ignorance; 15 <\/sup>but as He who called you is<\/em> holy, you also be holy in all your<\/em> conduct, 16 <\/sup>because it is written, \u201cBe holy, for I am holy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

17 <\/sup>And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one\u2019s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your [f<\/a>]<\/sup>stay here<\/em> in fear; 18 <\/sup>knowing that you were not redeemed with [g<\/a>]<\/sup>corruptible things, like<\/em> silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received<\/em> by tradition from your fathers, 19 <\/sup>but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 20 <\/sup>He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was [h<\/a>]<\/sup>manifest in these last times for you 21 <\/sup>who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Enduring Word<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

22 <\/sup>Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth [i<\/a>]<\/sup>through the Spirit in [j<\/a>]<\/sup>sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 <\/sup>having been born again, not of [k<\/a>]<\/sup>corruptible seed but [l<\/a>]<\/sup>incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides [m<\/a>]<\/sup>forever, 24 <\/sup>because<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll flesh is<\/em> as grass,
And all [n<\/a>]<\/sup>the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
25 <\/sup>But the [o<\/a>]<\/sup>word of the Lord endures forever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
