Standing Alone 10.4.19

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “It’s easy to stand in the crowd but it takes courage to stand alone.”

I woke up this morning deep in thought as I looked back over some recent events that made me question a person’s intent towards me. Instead of following the crowd, I decided to stand alone! Standing alone is less favorable, but to me, it meant I had the courage to do the hard thing. It was necessary! My daddy always said, “Whitnee’ you are going to have to stand for something or fall for everything.”

So in this situation, I stood, and I stood alone! Man wasn’t with me, but God never left me. I’m living to please God not man. In my life I vow to allow God to use me to fulfill His purpose in me. So no matter what a person says, my living will not be in vain. Gotta keep the faith, and keep on pushin baby.

  1. I enjoy reading all of your blogs but I think this one, Standing Alone, has really captured how I feel on many issues. People judge me on what they think they know. So I am often alone to figure things out for myself. But I had to learn that I’m never alone with God. Cause He has never left my side. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.

    1. Good morning Tonya,
Thank you so much for sharing your comments and providing a Word of Encouragement. Ever since I was a little girl, I wrote! If I could not express myself verbally, I always felt at peace when I wrote. So with that said, I am thanking God that He used “my story” to help show you that you are not alone in your feelings and to also remind you that in Christ you are never alone. He has and will never leave your side. No matter how tough it seems, remember if God brought you to it then He will bring you through it!
