To the women in my life who have paved a way and to the women who have come before you and paved the way we thank God.
We recently celebrated mother’s on this past Sunday and what a Blessed Mother’s Day it was! Not only do I celebrate the love of a mother but I celebrate the selfishness, the commitment, the honor, the endurance, and the love of most mothers. Whether we have birthed our own, adopted, fostered, taught, ministered, married into, mentored, guided with love, or counseled children; WOMEN ROCK!
Being made from man’s rib we are STRONG, FEARLESS, COMMITTED, and FOR SOME NATURALLY GIVING SPIRITS.
So this morning I want to highlight and give thanks to a specific group of ladies who give of themselves and their hearts, endlessly.
Join me here for the full message. May God richly bless you and Heaven shine upon you. If the spirit so leads, drop a shout out below to the leading lad(ies) in your life!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Mrs. Davis is on fire…..Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers.

We love you too! That was so sweet!
Beautiful tribute to your Mom Whitnee! I knew she was special, she had you. My Mom’s name was Sarah G. Bonner. Her hospitality was off the chain! I use to wonder why she would get dressed so early in the morning. She knew! Someone would come by, they were drawn to her. If you wanted to experience LOVE ,LAUGHTER and a good meal come on over. Family and friends. I can’t count the number of relatives that stayed with us over those years and we thought nothing of it. That’s what families do right? She wanted to be a music teacher. (The 1940’s) NOT! Anyway her father bought her and old Kimballs Piano and she taught her self to play by ear. Our favorite was her boogie woogie music. Friday nites was jammin! Foot stompin fingers sliding! THAT GIRL WAS ON FIRE!!! We loved it! I can remember her reading to us and teaching us the importance of LOVE, JESUS and Family. She had to drop out of school her sophomore year to help out her family, so our graduating from high school was very important to her. Two of her four children even went to college. She always said with GOD and a good education you can be whatever you want to be. Well all her children did grow up to be saved ,spirit filled , successful by her standards and productive citizens. She was proud of us, and we spoiled her because she deserved it. She died when I was 28 and I was lost for a little while. It hurt to even think about her. But when I had my first baby at 32 I asked “what do I do Mom?” And a small quiet voice said, “train him up”. And all the love and lessons and discipline my Mom taught me came back. Thank you Mom. Thank you too Whitnee, for taking me down memory lane. It’s been awhile.
Ms Onnie, “Wow!” You just took me on a ride I’m not ready to get off. Oh how I thank God for ladies like your remarkable mother Mrs Bonner who raised phenomenal women such as yourself.
I can tell you from how you described her on your trip down memory lane you picked up her love, laughter, and the joy of being around lovely people. You are not only a prayer warrior, beacon of light, but you are such a giving, loving, nurturing, and charming woman of God.
So Ms Onnie, I thank you for sharing your mother with us all who are blessed to read this and I know your mom, siblings, and children are proud of the remarkable woman you are today.
I just love you!
