You brought me through this by Rev. Timothy Wright
I remember singing this song on the choir and when I was going through “some things” it brought tears to my eyes. Tears of healing, tears of understanding, tears of peace, and relief.
Well God placed this song on my heart this morning and I’m glad about it. You see God has brought me and my family through a lot of stuff in 2020. Every way we turned this far we have been faced with certain calamities by we still have a praise in our hearts. We know God and what He can and what He will do! We understand God will not put more on us than we can bear so this morning I stand tall and thank the Lord for being a mighty good God who cannot lie!
I don’t know if you’ve ever gone through anything but you just need to stand tall and thank our Heavenly Father from where He has brought you and where He is taking you. Thank God in advance for His perfect plan and thank Him for being beside you every step of the way.
The songwriter says 🎤 Lord I’m so grateful. You made a way out of no way. You opened doors that were closed in my face. I thought I couldn’t take it. Some said I couldn’t make it. Lord I’m Lord I’m so grateful
Can I ask you this morning: Do you know the Lord as your protector this morning? Have you ever found yourself amongst your enemies, in a scary situation, in an unfamiliar land, or whatever and needed the Lord to protect you?
I urge you to read Psalm 57!
Yesterday I traveled to MUSC to take my mom to the doc. We got to the doctors office at 10:45 but didn’t get out until around 5:28. We were tired, hungry, had some aches and some pains, but God!
At times driving back I could not see but I asked God to take the wheel! But God! I had to stay calm because I couldn’t see and I didn’t want to freak my mom out so I inhaled “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” and exhaled “Lord have mercy, Jesus take the wheel.”
Have you ever found yourself in despair or scared and if it had not been for the Lord, you don’t know how you would have made it? Well can I tell you this morning I’ve had more feelings like that lately but I count them all to joy because I know God will never leave me nor forsake me.
You see this morning I’m thanking God for His protection not only because He allowed us to get back home safely but I’m thanking God for the parallel lines this morning of my moms recovery and my storms of life.
I was so tired last night my body starting to ache but God freed my mind and touched my aching body and despite me being tired when I heard my mom coughing and needing help once I got up and put my feet on the ground and thanked Him for waking me up this morning- I wasn’t tired anymore.
This is the first time I have written this morning as I had to take some time for me me just to sit and meditate and fellowship on His word in silence. Do you know what I’m talking about this morning?
God was working this thing out in a way I didn’t seem to understand. Let me tell you this morning about 95 percent of the time I have traveled the road to go back and fourth for COVID testing, doctor appointments or whatever it’s been raining. Not just misty rain, I’m talking about the rain where you can’t see in front you. The rain that you have to cry out “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.” I’m talking about when cars are driving 25-40 mph in the fast lane because it’s so foggy and the bright lightening and heavy rain don’t make things any better.
The joy I found this morning by thinking of God protecting us in that car and allowing us to get home safely is the same joy I found in knowing God protecting us daily. You see God’s protection comes in many forms. This morning I’m not just thanking God for protecting us through the physical storm but I’m so grateful for God brining me (Whitnee’ A SINNER) through many trials and tribulations, for forgiving me for my wrongdoings, for correcting my thoughts, for giving me peace, for bringing me strength when I know I had none of my own, for breaking me down like a fraction and showing me I AM NOTHING WITHOUT YOU!
I hear so many people say things about me but it’s not Whitnee’, it’s God. Nothing has separated me from the Love of God. God is my Help! God is my strength! God is my everything!
When I was tired, hot and hungry and had to walk to find the car; God protected me. When I got to the car just to sit and find the battery dead yesterday; God protected me. When I had to tell my mom to sit here for a minute and let me get the car; God protected her and kept her safe from all danger and harm. When the Public Safety came to start the car; God protected Him. When I got to my mom; God protected us and kept us safe on the road. When Uncle Robert met us at the Harleyville exit to pick up the FoodShare produce God protected Him. I didn’t see one accident or stalled car yesterday although the storm was so bad yesterday.
But just like yesterday- today, tomorrow, and the next day we are going to have many storms in life. Oh we are going to go through some raging winds, bolstering thunder, sharp lightening, we are going to walk through a den of thieves and end up in the Lion’s Den like Daniel- BUT GOD CAN BRING US THROUGH!
Oh how I shout with such joy this morning for serving a God WHO CAN DO ALL THINGS! I’m not just praying God for what He can do- I’m thanking God for WHO HE IS! For what He stands for! For what His word says to me! For being the Head of my life and not the tail!
Dear God,
I want to thank You for allowing me to dwell in Your hiding place.
Thank You Dear Father for allowing me to live in the shadow of Your wings.
Thank you God for protecting me and my family and my friends and loved ones.
Thank you Lord for protecting those who hate me, despise me, and wish death upon me.
Dear God thank you for the peace you have given me after studying Your word this morning.
For in Psalm 57:7-10 it says:
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart
is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise.
Awake, my glory!
Awake, lute and harp!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise You, O Lord, among the
peoples;
I will sing to You among the nations
For Your mercy reaches unto the
heavens,
And Your truth unto the clouds,
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens
Let Your glory be above all the earth.
Lord thank You for never allowing me to feel alone even when I feel like it is so much weight on my shoulders- You help me know know peace like I’ve never known before.
Lord I can’t live with You!
I can’t breathe without You!
Lord I thank You for cleaning me up and making me whole again!
Lord but I know I had to be broken before You could use me in the way You intended- I had to get out of the way!
Lord I thank You for breaking me and putting me back together by Your grace and mercy!
Thank you for loving me Lord!
Lord I am choosing You today, tomorrow and EVERYDAY!
Oh how it feels so good this morning to know I am under Your protection.
Thank You Heavenly Father.
Dear God, this message might not make sense to some reading today’s message but You know my heart and You know my story! Dear God You for those who took the time to read what You have placed on my heart. I ask that You bless them like only You can. Protect them like only You can. Keep them safe from this virus and protect their families and their comings and goings. Bless and increase their finances, their love for You, allow them to stand tall and bold and tell someone just how good You are.
Just as You have protected me and my mom while traveling up and down the road to MUSC and as You protect my mom and give her peace claiming all the cancer is gone; I too praise Your Holy name.
God knows what I’ve gone through in the last couple of months just like He knows what you (those reading this message) are going through. And just like me- He will bring you through. Just trust in Him and wait on the Lord. Just as Mrs. Carolyn told me when I had gotten a little down about my apt to move closer to homeownership and get out of this treacherous neighborhood where they hate us and steal from us and wish bad upon us- we must WAIT with EXPECTATION! FOR GOD IS A WAY MAKER. MIRACLE WORKER. PROMISE KEEPER. LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS. MY GOD. THAT IS WHO YOU ARE!!!!!
Somebody bless the Lord this morning. Bless His Holy and wonderful and mighty name. Oh did He is worthy of all of our praise.
God bless!
Firstly, Hallelujah! that God has brought y’all back home safely! God is THE PROTECTOR NOT A BUT THE. He is all the Protection we will ever need. Isaiah 41:10-12 says So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 11 “All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. 12 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. Can I get an Amen. Hallelujah. We worship the Most High GOD. And oh he is so worthy to be praised. So those neighbors around you who keep stealing from you better watch out. Clearly they don’t know who’s Child they messing with. Secondly, I want to say again, our God is a PROTECTOR. On yesterday on our Virtual Call after I shared, I had to put the phone down several times-I know the group didn’t know what was going on, but there was some confusion-fighting, arguing, screaming, profanity going on just right outside-2 men 2 women, I am sad to say. I moved the my children away from the windows and began to start praying Lord don’t let them start shooting. I too know what’s it like when you not just ready, but packing your bags ready to move. And prayerfully THIS TIME, they did not start shooting. AGAIN GOD came through. OUR FATHER. PROTECTOR. I look at it like this. GOD knows what is best. He knows when it is time for us to MOVE. My prayer is that we are READY we GOD says MOVE, we MOVE! Lastly, Ephesians 6:10-15 says Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. We just have to stand Pig Nose. Stand with patience, and expectation. Our day is coming. We know that we serve a God that has never failed. And we know that he won’t fail his children. Love you Much Pig Nose. Let’s keep the Praises coming and Spreading The Gospel of Jesus so we are blessings come, they will come abundantly!
But God!! Amen!!
Amen!
First and Formost, I thank God right now for you making it home safely. GOD is OUR Protector! He is always with us. He will never leave nor Forsake us. Isaiah 41: 10-12 says So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. So you see. Those trifling neighbors who think they are getting away with theft, they are Not. They don’t know whose Child they messing with. Secondly, We must Stand. Ephesians 6:10-15 says Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Amen Somebody!! And Lastly, I have a testimony…So during the virtual call on yesterday, little do the support group knew except for Tati was that there was an altercation going on outside in the parking lot, men and women argujng cussing, I put the phone down several times and moved the kids away from the window to make sure if there were gunshots, the kids wouldn’t get hit. And you know what by the time the end of the praying the confusion was over. Can we say PROTECTOR. Halleujah JESUS! Not just for me and my children but for the woman / children looking out the windows outside. I dont know the situation but thank God the confusion had left. So I know whats its like wanting to leave your neighborhood for go to less crime zone area. I KNOW THE FEELING. Having bags packed….You don’t have the address of where you moving yet, but READY BECAUSE when God opens that door and says MOVE, I AM GOING to if I can MOVE like Lightening. Being Prepared and Ready. Oh Halleujah! This is my prayer for everyone when God calls us into our purpose. We’re going to be Ready! YES. OH. Yes. Thank you for this PIG NOSE. God will bring us through!
