Some folks would say 2020 has been a “heck of a year.” Some of us haven’t seen such death, such loss, turmoil, sickness, poverty, hate, disgust, and the list goes on. While there is death, loss, turmoil, sickness, poverty, and hate going on GOD IS STILL GOD!
He is not blind to what is going on in the world. As a matter of fact He already knows this story and He knows how it will end. With that said, we must keep the course!
Yes it gets hard, yes it gets tough, Lord knows at times it feels like we just want to throw our hands up and quit BUT again we must keep the course.
As I read over the first six chapters in the book of Nehemiah, I see how he kept on despite the enemies attempt to get him to fail. You see Nehemiah knew God’s promises and kept the course until the wall was completed.
We each have our own story, we each have our own situations, and no matter how big or how small the situation is good or bad- no one situation is more or less important in God’s eyes. Sometimes we feel like our problems are “too small” to bring it to God because our neighbors are hurting so much more. Does that mean our pain hurts less? Does that mean their pain gets reaches God first?
I’m not sure how you answered the above questions but please know there is not a problem too small or big for my God. There is not a situation He can’t handle. There is not a time that God is too busy to hear our cry. Don’t let the devil fool you to think you aren’t important and your pain doesn’t matter.
I’m here to tell you that the enemies plot to kill, steal, and destroy becomes REALITY if you allow his tricks and schemes to put fear in your heart. The devil can be a bully SO WHY ALLOW HIM TO INTIMIDATE YOU! He holds no power or control over you or your life unless you give him control.
We must find encouragement in the Word of God, we must hold fast to it and meditate on it daily. Yes the road will get rough but Jesus overcame the world and so can we. God is the author and the finisher of our faith. He knows all, He sees all, He is our all in all. And because of this we should remain hopeful knowing that He will bring us out of whatever situation.
I’m not going to go into details but if you have been reading my motivational blogs or you know me personally then some of you know how much of a trying year it has been. At times I had to distance myself because at times I felt like my situation was just too much but I remembered in the midst of my sorrows that God does not put more on than we can bear. We have to remember that when we are in the midst of our season not just when God brings us out.
The devil is going to keep throwing curve balls and sometimes he will bring out all the stops to get you off course. We must keep the faith! We must keep on going! We must stay in prayer, continual praise, and our hope must remain in Christ.
I know some folks reading this may be experiencing some hardships in one way or another and some who are close to the edge of giving up- don’t be discouraged and please remember God has not forgotten you. He has His hands on you and your situation. He sees your tears, He has heard your cry, even when you couldn’t muster up the words to say- He heard your prayers. He is faithful and He will act in due timing.
I just want you to stay in prayer. The Bible says pray without ceasing.
When the devil can’t get you in one area, he will attack in another. For me he attacked my finances, my home, my cars, my marriage BUT he couldn’t succeed because I kept the faith. I was not fooled by his intimidating ways- I knew that there would be an end to all of the chaos in my life. Even when I had to go in silence I never lost sight of God’s promises.
Sometimes we have to distance ourselves to hear God clearly. It doesn’t mean we are loosing hope or our faith is weak- sometimes it simply means we need that time to feast on God by ourselves.
Like Nehemiah, we have to believe!
It is my prayer that God will continue to protect you and myself from all harm and danger. It is my prayer that the Lord will show His infinite wisdom and glorious light in every situation like only He can. It is my prayer that we will be spiritually grounded and show spiritual wisdom when it comes to how we endure. I pray our fear in the Lord will supersede and drown out all other fear. Oh how I pray that we will stay focus and keep the course just as Nehemiah did.
We have to keep running our race, we have to continue to keep the faith, me must not give in nor give up, we must do what it is that God has placed on our hearts. Don’t question His plan or His course of action- in due time He will reveal to you just what it is you are seeking if it according to His will.
Again, be encouraged and continue to pray. Your prayers will never fall into deaf ears. The Book of Nehemiah encourages us to pray as he encouraged his people to pray. Maybe there is someone in your life that needs to be encouraged to continue to pray, if God has placed it on your heart to encourage them then don’t block your blessing to do so.
God wants me to encourage you this morning to don’t be fooled by the enemies attempt to stop you. God has given us all a task. It may not be to reconstruct a shattered wall in Jerusalem, it may not be to save the world BUT it was given to us by God- so we must be bold and take action.
The time is now, what are you waiting for??!!
