Whitnee's journey with Christ

Brothers and sisters I don’t know about you but I’m in at a place in my life where I just want peace. The drama and the nonsense is the birds; I don’t have the time nor the patience for it. Anybody with me this morning? So I ask myself how do I get God’s perfect peace? The answer is simple….in the presence of God we will find His peace.

Scripture tells us in Isaiah 26:3 that you will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. So basically if we keep our minds on Christ and we trust in Him; we will have God’s peace.

Some folks may say well I keep my mind on Christ but trouble still finds me, I still have problems, I still face trials and tribulations, it still seems like nothing ever goes right for me. What do I do?

Well because we know that trouble will come but it doesn’t come to stay, what we must do is pray and keep the faith. We must continue to seek God in these times and remember that God is the answer. Having that peace from God we realize that God is good and like the word says He can give us peace that surpasses all understanding. So you could literally be going through hell on earth but nothing fazes you because you are trusting on Christ and you remain steadfast and faithful and focus again on Christ verses the circumstances.

With God’s perfect peace no matter what comes your way or what’s going on in life, there is a certain calmness, a certain contentment where you know everything will be okay and you don’t have to allow your emotions to get the best of you.

Friends that’s what I am seeking. I know storms are going to come but I want to be in a place where no matter how hard the winds blow, I wont worry and won’t have fear. During this season of listening I pray I will grow stronger in my faith and through trust, focusing, and meditating on His word I will remain in God’s perfect peace even if I stumble.

Isaiah 25:4 says, For You have been strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; for the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Whatever we need God can and God is. Whatever we stand in need of, He can provide. If it is shelter, if it is strength, if it is shade, if it is healing, if it deliverance, ANYTHING WE NEED God’s got it!

Isaiah 26:12 says Lord, You will establish peace for us, for You have also done all our works in us.

Lord have Your way in my life. Fill me up until I want no more; like Tasha Cobb says I want to run over. Use me Lord like only You can. Dwell in me and use me to Your glory. Lord I know if You life Your life in and through me that I will have Your peace. Whatever is not like You Lord; in the name of Jesus I ask that You take it from me Lord. Lord You are the potter and I am the clay; make me and mold me Lord. Renew my mind Lord. Allow Your spirit to dwell in me. I pray for Your peace today Lord. For I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
