Well, Curtis, Bretta, Feet, and Family dug your grave in front of Bretta’s home. They put your ashes in the ground and buried a tree on top of you. Now you are going to be rooted deep. Back to the Earth we go right. I am not sure if I ever knew what you really wanted to do with yourself. I know you would have been the perfect incriminator. You were always trying to be someone you were not. I never knew who you wanted to be but you showed me who you were. You didn’t want to be that person you were but you didn’t have a care in the world about anything really. You were always on the go. You never set still. But that was you. Mr. Veteran to some people…Liar, Rouge, Thief, Deacon, Son, Brother, Cousin, Husband, ect….Maybe you were some, maybe you were all and some more…but one thing that people don’t see is Child of God. Yes. No one is perfect. No one. Only God. So when people speak of you and by what ever name they choose, we know it’s only one that truly matters. When you used to call everyday to pray with kids when Joshua was only 2 before we would head out to school, daycare, they knew their uncle Mike was on the phone and it was time to pray and talk to Jesus. And what powerful prayers you delivered to them. I know for a fact that they knew they had a praying uncle, despite of what others may have thought and didn’t know. We knew you knew Jesus and we knew you were on his side. So if Jesus is for you, who could be against you? That’s what people failed to see in you that we knew that was inside of you. God was and is in us. We felt it in your prayers. I knew that we had a praying grandmother, Florence White Brown and her prayers covered her family. We also had a praying Mother. We all have God on the inside of us. That’s the most beautiful and precious thing about you Michael. I am not sure if anyone saw it….but I did. I saw how you were fighting to do the right thing and you even spoke about it, the spiritual ware fare that we all go under attack. I saw you fight. I saw you never gave up. I saw the beauty of your fighting. You never let it defeat you and you didn’t have a care in the world. You put others before yourself. You put me before yourself and I am grateful and blessed to have had a brother like you. I never told you how proud I am of you. I am very proud. I am so proud to have you by my side and by your niece and nephews side. They love and miss their uncle Mike. So do I. Until we meet again, my Big brother Mike, I love you.
