He had a plan.

Jeremiah 29:11

It was so good to be able to sit in the worship service today and hear the Man of God bring the preached Word. Today at ECBC, Pastor Steven honored the 2025 graduates. It was a beautiful thing seeing those graduating from high school, college, and completing continuing education because it highlighted just how God is moving in different levels.

After hearing the promising and uplifting message I had the privilege of teaching upper elementary/middle school Sunday school today! We only had 2 in class today as others are out of town, left for sports tournaments, or like mine were at a championship game but like the title of today’s message, GOD HAD A PLAN.

Lydia and Zenobia talked about the “dramas” of being a 4th grader, their plans for summer camp, and discussed how excited they were to be attending Camp La Vida. While gathering material (thanks to Ms. Desna for providing a helpful resource), Lydia opened us up with prayer. After prayer the girls enjoyed their snack and we decided to do something different. With youth Sunday coming up we decided to discuss and plan our service. You know the saying “great minds think alike?,” well we all had the same thing in mind! We have to do a skit!

I was amazed at how creative, thoughtful, and talented these young ladies were. In less than 45 minutes they directed, narrated, and performed their own theatrical production. It was fascinating!

The memory verse in worship service was Jeremiah 29:11 but the memory verse for children’s church and Sunday school was Micah 6:8.

With God’s assistance and thanks to the creative geniuses aka Zenobia and Lydia, we plan to act out how we can help our community be a better place. The moral of the skit will put emphasis on keeping our environment clean.

Going into Sunday school I honestly didn’t have a plan but I knew what I needed to accomplish and God allowed it to come into fruition through these young people. God set the tone through Pastor Steven’s message and I am forever grateful.

God’s Word is true and I am a living witness. I just had to briefly shout out Zenobia and Lydia for allowing God’s plan to come alive through them.

Thank you Mrs. Margie & Tatayana for teaching your young ladies to use their God given talents to bless others. Thank you Wesley and Mrs. Rita for entrusting me to teach as God lead.
