Whose counsel do you seek?

I have been receiving a lot of group texts and in those texts several people across the world are joining together to pray for our government, healthcare professionals, first responders, teachers, students, parents, those sick and shut in, the vulnerable and elderly, those with underlying health conditions, etc.

A question came to my mind: As we are praying for our President to make wise decisions and as we are praying for our State and local government officials are we praying for whom they seek counsel as well?

I’ll give you an example. A fool would google whatever question he asks but never seeks God for wisdom. His source gives an answer but that doesn’t mean it is the RIGHT SOURCE or the RIGHT ANSWER.

James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

So this morning ask yourself Whose counsel am I seeking? I am seeking answers from Mayo Clinic, WebMD, a clueless rant and rave, or the one Most High God?

Please post your answer, response and comments below.

  1. Thank you Whitnee for reminding us who to look to for answers. The great I AM has all the wisdom and answers we need. I think we’re learning.

    1. Praise God for we give Him all the honor and the glory! Forever and ever! Thank you Lord for giving us the heart to learn while we still can. Oh He is mighty!
