No Matter What Roadblock You Face! 10.23.19

I read an article entitled, ‘Education was my only way out’: Gay teen escapes toxic home, creates LGBT scholarship.

I am normally intrigued by different articles I run across in the newspaper or online and this particular article really made me think. It made me place my self in his position and use those feelings to help others.

  1. Amen my dear friend!! That was PERFECTLY & as always… beautifully said! Thanks for messing up my make-up this morning!!! ๐Ÿ˜
This was especially touching because I am the child of a mother who is gay & has NEVER been accepted by her own mother. This has affected her for years & she has never felt good enough or loved by the woman who gave her life. Because of this she has never been open & honest about herself & keeps it bottled up. Playfully she has not done anything dramatic to end this pain even though it bothers her everyday. My mom is the MOST caring, selfless, loving & wonderful person I know, who judges nobody and accepts all with open arms. This is a very touchy subject for so many especially in church. I thank you for having this conversation & reminding us that God loves us unconditionally no matter our sexuality, financial status, ethnicity, struggles etc…!! I encourage everyone to love each other with out prejudices everyday!!
Have a blessed day & keep preaching my dear friend!!! You are a breath of fresh air! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’–

    1. To God be the glory! Thank you for taking the time to read it and post words of encouragement on my site. Despite your moms struggles, she managed to raise one of the most amazing daughters and persons I know. With all the pain bottled up inside, she was able to still teach you and raise you according to how she wanted to be treated. It’s not often we find gems like that in the world.

It is my prayer that she will know she is loved and gain peace over the situation. God loves us all and although it is a touchy subject, like you said its a conversation we have to start having. No longer can we hide it under the rug like it doesn’t exist.

I salute your courage on this day for stepping out. Continue to allow God to use you as you strive to love God’s children and spread His word through our story. I love you lady!
